Its Premium plan handles up to 10,000 participants, subscriptions do not auto-renew so a lapsed budget cannot quietly keep billing you, and it commits in writing to never advertising to your volunteers or emailing them marketing.
The free tier is also more generous than it looks, because the 15-participant limit disables administrative features rather than turning people away at the door. If your event is small and you can live inside that, there is no reason to move.
