If you coordinate volunteers as a program rather than an event, VolunteerLocal does things we don't. Every plan has unlimited volunteer records, applications, events, jobs and shifts, automated reminders, text messages in the thousands and a volunteer mobile app. Hours and attendance tracking is built for the report a funder or a school district asks for.
We have none of the application, text-message or mobile-app side, and our hours report is a summary with a per-volunteer breakdown on Pro, not a records system. If someone asks you for volunteer records, VolunteerLocal is the better fit and the price reflects it.

Can MySignMeUp track volunteer hours?
Yes, in a simpler way. Every plan gets an hours summary; the per-volunteer and per-event breakdown with CSV export is on Pro. There are no volunteer applications or text messages.
Do volunteers need an account on MySignMeUp?
No. They open the link, claim a shift and add their name. Only the organizer has an account.
Is MySignMeUp free?
Yes. Free includes 3 active sheets at a time, up to 10 slots each, 25 sign-ups per month, shareable links, and an ad-free signup page. A day-before email reminder is included; more reminder timings and CSV export come with Pro.
